Minor Details (new movie!) and Singing!!!!!

Hey everybody!

So I just had an extremely busy - yet extremely fun - week! Here’s what happened…

Super early on Saturday morning (the 7th of June), me and my mom flew out of state. We arrived a few hours later, dropped our luggage off at our hotel, and then went straight to the set of a film I’m in called Minor Details (formerly known as Dixon Diaries). I worked all day and had tons of fun! I had Sunday off (which was well-needed because I was getting pretty tired) and I went back and shot more scenes on Monday and Tuesday. Ready for the craziness?!?! haha just kidding…sort of. I flew back out to California on Tuesday night, but our flight was delayed an hour and a half so we didn’t get home until past midnight. I woke up quite early the next morning (Wednesday) to work on webcast stuff for icarly and I did even more webcast stuff on Thursday. Friday morning, me and my mom flew back out of state and I worked on Minor Details all day Friday and all day Saturday (yesterday). Today, I flew back out here to California so that I can start back to work on iCarly tomorrow! Whew! Sounds tiring just writing it all let alone doing it all hahaha.

Anyways, despite the INSANE hectic-ness of my week, I had a ball! Everyone on the set of “Minor Details” was incredibly kind to me…I’ve made so many awesome new friends. I was sad to say good-bye to them all! I’ll have to post some pictures on here soon. The only thing I really missed in California was going on a torch run/Cancer walk with Nathan in LA. :0(

Oh, and one last thing…I’ve had a lot of people ask me if I’m going to make a CD. Well…..I’m working on it right now! I’ve written 15 songs and I’m working with some great people. So keep your eyes open for that, but be patient cuz it’s gonna take a lot of hard work to get things just right! Thank you all for your curiosity in the singing department and for supporting me in it! I am going to work super hard to try and make you all proud because without you, it wouldn’t be possible!!!

Thanks!
~ Jennette :0)

P.S. Hi to Dhylan (aka Short Round), Caitlin, Kelsey (aka Bilger), Savannah, Dani, Lauren, Samantha, Emma, Colton, Andrew, Brady, Elijah, Karen, Cody, Scott, and all the rest! It was fantastic working with all of you! See you at the premiere!

Camp Ronald McDonald Fashion Show and Kung-Fu Panda Premiere

Hey everybody!

I just got home after a very busy, super long, extremely FUN day! I’ll tell you about it real quick before I gotta go to bed…

So I woke up early to attend the Kung-Fu Panda premiere in Hollywood! I had tons of fun! I met a lot of great fans and did some cool interviews and stuff. A big highlight was…I got to meet the Ace of Cakes cast! I’m a HUGE fan of their show and I’ve seen pretty much every single episode. Meeting them was AWESOME!!!!!

Then, I had to rush over to the Camp Ronald McDonald fashion show, which was awesome! I must admit, I was a little nervous to be a ‘model’ in a ‘runway show’. haha that’s one thing I never thought I’d do! Anyways, some of my friends (Erin Sanders, Bailee Madison, and Jansen Panettiere) were also models, so that helped to ease my nerves a lot! It’s always great to have friends around! I met a lot of really nice fellow actors that I’d seen at events in the past but had never really gotten to say hello. I hope to someday work with them! Kay Panabaker, Devon Werkheiser, Jason Dolley, Cole and Dylan Sprouse, Keily Williams, and Malese Jow (to name a few) were lots of fun to be around! Another TERRIFIC part of the Camp Ronald McDonald event was that I got to meet TESS, a faithful fan that has followed my career since Medium! She is what I would call a ‘dream fan’ I guess you could say. You know, like the best kind of fan imaginable! She’s watched just about everything I’ve been in, written me letters, drawn me pictures, read my blog entries, posted on my websites, and basically given up her time to watch me! What more could I ask for? So thanks Tess! It was awesome meeting you and I’m sure I’ll see you again someday!!!

Gotta go!

OMNI Awards, Revlon Run/Walk, and Strawberry Festival

Hey everyone!

So my whole family (as always!) went to the Revlon Run/Walk and we all had an awesome time. I wanna say a big “HI!” to everyone who came up to me. HI!!!! haha. On a more serious note, it’s very moving when you’re walking and you see the signs on the peoples’ backs. Every year, it really puts things in perspective for me and makes me realize how many lives are affected by such terrible diseases. It’s touching that these HUGE crowds of people gather together to try and put a stop to them!

I attended the OMNI Awards this year. I was extremely honored to receive the award for “Most Outstanding Overall Performance in Television”. I was so humbled to be given such a big honor from my peers. It really was so so humbling. I also want to congratulate my great friend Rhyon Brown on receiving an award for her role in Lincoln Heights! She is so deserving and so talented…congrats Rhyon!

Oh! I was in the Strawberry Festival a few days ago…I got to ride on the back of this cool, bright red convertible in the parade! I had tons of fun. Wow!!! I mean, when I was sitting on the back of that car and everyone cheered as the car I was in drove past, it really touched my heart. People would chase after the car and take pictures and cheer me on…it was simply overwhelming. I thought I was gonna cry! Seriously, I was pretty much speechless when I saw all these people supporting me and what I do. It makes me so happy to know that people are enjoying my work! I couldn’t stop beaming the entire time. That was an amazing day that I’ll never ever forget!!!!!

Well, I’d better go. I’m gonna go do some running before I have to head to bed…I have to wake up early for work tomorrow!

Thanks for all your support, everybody!

Cancer Walk

Hey everybody! This entry is very important to me, so please keep reading! The annual Revlon Run/Walk for Women is happening again this year. As always, it will be on the day before Mother’s Day. I will be attending with my whole family, so if you’re anywhere near LA, come and run or walk! However, don’t worry if you can’t make the actual walk…you can always donate to the wonderful cause.

Speaking of run/walks, I attended a run/walk for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund last Sunday. It was so much fun! I ran/walked with Nathan (from iCarly, as you all know), Paul Butcher (from Zoey 101), Sammi Hanratty (she’s in an upcoming episode of iCarly and loads of other stuff… look her up!), and several other awesome friends! After the run/walk, we all worked at a few game booths at this great little carnival that was set up. I even gathered up the courage to ride on this fun swinging pirate ride! I had lots of fun and it was great to participate in another fantastic charity event! Before I head out, I want to thank you all again for your kind comments. I always get a smile on my face when I read them! Go look up the Revlon Run/Walk and see if you can run, walk, or donate!!!!!

New layout!

Hey everyone!

Jennette here! Well, obviously you knew that since this is my website. lol!

I just wanted to write a quick blog entry to see how you all like the new layout. I LOVE it! It’s very snazzy, right? Also, I wanted to thank everyone who’s posted a comment! This will be the only place that I read comments from, and I assure you that I read every single one! Oh, and I do occasionally check my Kewl blog for posts there, as well…but my official website (here!) is definitely the best place to post. :0)

Well, I guess that it’s for now. I know it was a pretty quick blog post but I just wanted to thank you all, so thanks! I’ll fill you in on my crazily busy schedule later!

   Bye!

Spiderwick Premier and LA readings

Hey everybody!

Life’s been pretty busy lately. On January 31st, I went to a junior high school and spoke to 3 different classes. It was “Career Day”, so I talked about what it’s like to be an actress and how much hard work it takes to be in this industry and stuff like that. The kids were all really nice and fun to talk to! Later that night, I went to the premiere of the Paramount/Nickelodeon movie “The Spiderwick Chronicles”. It was really cool and the whole night was quite fun. I got to see my friends Victoria Justice, Paul Butcher, Rhyon Brown, Sammi Hanratty, and Jansen Panettiere, as well as meeting lots of other cool people for the first time!

Then, on February 2nd, I went to a bowling place and bowled with a bunch of awesome kids from the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation. Those kids were all so great…they were so happy, smart, creative, and just plain fun to be around. That was a really cool day.

Last Sunday (the 10th), I attended the launch of the Spiderwick Chronicles video game for Wii at Paramount Studios. The game was really cool…it was very true to the movie, so if you like the movie you will definitely love the game! That event was great because, after playing the game, you could go outside to a little carnival filled with games and snacks. A man was there drawing those cartoony caricature things, so I got one drawn of myself. It was quite cool and funny! The video game launch was terrific because it doubled as a charity event, so I got to see lots of the kids that I saw at the Starlight Starbright bowling day. It was really sunny outside as well, so it was a perfect day for a carnival!

Yesterday, I went to a school up in LA and read a few chapters of “The Spiderwick Chronicles: The Field Guide” to a bunch of 2nd graders. The students were so polite and cooperative…they didn’t make a sound the entire time I was reading! Afterwards, I took some pictures and the ladies in charge of the event invited me to come back in a few months and read some Dr. Seuss stories to the kids….how cool is that?!

Before I sign off, I’m on the cover (with Nathan and Miranda) of Nickelodeon magazine! I’m also in the current issue of Discovery Girls magazine and Teen Hairstyles magazine, so check out those if you’d like!!

Well, it’s been a busy few weeks and it’s going to be an equally busy few more weeks, so keep checking back for my next journal entry.

Thanks for reading!
