I know it’s been a few weeks since my last journal entry, and it had been months since the entry before that. These occasional entries are very infrequent and inconsistent, right?? Well, to keep the site really up-to-date and filled with the most current information, I’ve decided to write in my online journal more often. Please give me a break if it’s a few weeks or so, but I promise there will be no four-month breaks between entries! Anway, on with more stuff…
As many of you already know, I’m a Project Runway FREAK!! Oh, I love it, love it, love it!! Of course, I watched the premiere… what’d you all think? At first, I didn’t think I’d get as into it as I did with prior seasons (just judging by the contestants and what-not) but I soon found that the phrase “don’t judge a book by its cover” really applied here… I’m loving it! I haven’t picked out my favorite contestants yet, but a few that I think are really unique and fun to watch are Kit, Kevin, Steven, Victorya, and Christian. The mix of all the contestants is fantastic and really humorous at times! I’m looking forward to watching the episode tomorrow night (actually, it will probably be “tonight” by the time this entry gets posted). :0)
So, I’ve been busy with lots of photo-shoots and stuff lately! I just did a photo-shoot for Popstar! magazine the day before yesterday…that was very fun! Everyone at the shoot was so kind and generous. It was a great learning experience since I’m not too used to photo-shoots yet. I’ll be doing a few Tiger Beat and Bop photo-shoots coming up in a few days here…those should be cool! I also did an interview and shot a cover photo for Teen Christian magazine, a magazine basically for any teen who wants to read positive, motivating material! I’m pretty sure it was for their winter issue, as I was wearing a hat, scarf, and gloves in the photos…now that’s not gonna be hitting the summer newstands!
I hope you’ve all been watching (and enjoying!) iCarly. We’ve had some pretty cool episodes lately….there was iRue the Day, which featured the AWESOME band Plain White T’s, iWill Date Freddie, in which Freddie’s girlfriend tries to sabotage iCarly and make her own webshow by recruiting Sam and Freddie to work with her, and iWant a World Record, where Sam decides she wants a world record so Carly, Sam, and Freddie try to make the longest continuous webcast ever! I won’t say any spoilers in case you didn’t catch those episodes, but I WILL spill that there are some TERRIFIC episodes coming up! There are some super fun ones involving cute little chicks, golf courses, footballs, fencing, sculptures, random dancing, and giant cups of coffee! Watch out for those episodes cuz I bet you’ll love them!
Are you all getting excited for the holidays? I know I am!!! I’ve been watching all sorts of Christmas specials, making gingerbread houses, baking TONS of yummy sweets, going present shopping, listening to Christmas music (thanks to good ole 103.5), and ice skating a lot. For those of you who celebrate Hanukkah, Happy Hanukkah! I wish you all the best! For those of you who celebrate Christmas, I hope you’re enjoying the season and taking it all in! For those of you who celebrate any other holiday I may have forgotten, Happy Holidays!!!
Also, for those of you who are interested, Original Girl magazine (the magazine that I’ve been making for quite some time now) will be made available within the next week or so (hopefully!!). Now that I’ve started using Adobe InDesign, I think and hope that I’ve taken my magazine to a new level. It’s a 32-page, monthly, now completely colorful magazine for girls of any age! My oldest brother kindly offered to help me convert the InDesign file to some sort of Adobe e-book file or something… that should be interesting to learn about! Anyways, you’ll be able to purchase it through a link on my website, so please keep an eye out for that!
Let’s see… what else is there? I’ve practically written a novel with this entry (LOL!). Oh, well I went to go see Enchanted a few days ago. I thought it was fantastic! I found it to be a really heartwarming, splendid family film perfectly fitting for this time of the year! You should go see it if you like happy-go-lucky movies! I also caught a re-run of the Cup of Russia a few days ago. For those of you who aren’t that savvy in the figure skating area, the Cup of Russia is this really huge figure skating event! Johnny Weir won and I was so happy for him! I think he totally deserved the gold. He works so hard and seems so focused and motivated…just the kind of person I look up to! Go Johnny! Congrats on the gold and keep up the good work!
Well, it’s getting pretty late and I’m dozing off here in my chair, staring at the computer screen. I’d better get to bed! I’ll probably watch a re-run of America’s Next Top Model or flip through Everyday Food or something as I’m sitting in my bed before I officially go to sleep, but that’s beside the point. I’ve started rambling, which means it’s time to go!
Happy Holidays everyone! And I’ll try to post at least once more before Christmas!
Bye!
~ Jennette :0)
