Things have been really hectic lately…I’ve been doing lots of publicity stuff, ADR work, schoolwork, skating, and hockey! So let’s start with the publicity stuff……
I did some interviews with a few teen magazines. It’s always fun to do interviews with different people to see the varying questions and things I’m asked. My favorite interview so far has been for KEWL magazine. It was so awesome!!! I went in to the KEWL magazine offices, did a photo-shoot, then did an on-camera interview. It was really great because, after my interview was over, the editor of the magazine told me that she is a competitive roller skater. I never knew that figure skaters and roller skaters had so much in common! They do all the same jumps, which is pretty cool! I got to watch a video of Denise (editor) performing a routine with her synchronized skating team. They were great! After I watched her performance, Denise showed me the program that she uses to make her magazine. It’s called Adobe InDesign. Well, the program looked so cool (and it was definitely an upgrade from the program I’ve been using), so I decided I’d try to make my magazine (called Original Girl) using InDesign. I viewed some online tutorials until I got the hang of the program, and my first issue made with InDesign is the December 2007 issue! I’m trying to figure out a way to make it available online because I’ve been getting some requests for it!!!
If you want to check out girlslife.com you can see a cool interview I did with Girls Life magazine that you can find here http://girlslife.com/g-blog/?p=3490. And, just in case you want to read a few more blog entries, I have a blog at http://jennettemccurdy.kewlblogs.com. You can post comments relating to the blog, so it’s pretty nice! Also, there’s an interview I did with The Star Scoop available here
Despite all of this publicity stuff, I’ve still had time to get ready for the holidays! Woohoo! I’m so excited they’re coming! I’ve already created a countdown calendar for the 50 days leading up to Christmas. I’ve also been to a few malls, trying to get an idea of what to buy for friends and family. I absolutely LOVE the holidays…they’re my favorite time of the year!!!
Well, I better get going. I’ve got a few hours of school and skating ahead of me!
Thanks for reading,
~ Jennette :0)
