Jennette. I was born in a little town officially known as Garden Grove but affectionately (or maybe not so affectionately) referred to as Garbage Grove. I lived in a small house with my parents, grandparents, and three older brothers. I dreamed of a life bigger than the one I knew.
When I was six years old, I saw Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and decided that I wanted to start acting so I could marry Anakin Skywalker. While that exact plan didn't grow legs, part of it did. My obsession with "the movies" grew and my annoying childhood harrassment paid off (don't get any ideas, kids.)
My mother took me to a bookstore where we came across some random entertainment magazine that had a list of agencies in it. I auditioned for an agent and got accepted. I was gonna be a precocious child star, since we all need more of those!
I worked consistently as a kid, but my "big break" came at age fourteen, when I landed a leading role in "iCarly," which lasted nearly 110 episodes over five years. I followed that up with my own spin-off, Sam & Cat, which ended in 2014 at a time when I was anxious for new career challenges and opportunities.
My first foray into my adult career was a web-series, What's Next For Sarah, that I wrote, produced, and starred in. I loved being able to fully sink my teeth into a project and to see my creative decisions come to fruition.
Currently, I'm shooting a brand new Netflix thriller series, Between. I'm really proud of the project and can't wait for you guys to see it when it comes out.
When I'm not acting, I love writing, going to amusement parks, seeing live comedy, watching movies, reading, shopping, traveling, and avoiding stupid people.
Do what you like and like what you do.
Cheers! - Jennette
